Peter Blake’s Empire Theatre – limited edition print released

We released the lovely limited edition print that Sir Peter Blake very kindly created for the mural. He had 100 signed and numbered prints created, and said we could sell them to raise funds for Chiswick’s grand projet. As soon as we mentioned it, a few months ago, we started a reserve list. No-one had seen the image, but we soon had 40 people on the list. Last week, we gave them a sneak peak – and we were off! The image itself was released to the Chiswick press at the end of the week, and at its peak, Sunday morning, we were getting one order every six minutes. One of the most satisfying things is that all except three have gone to Chiswick addresses (and one of those is Brentford, which is basically our sister). We have only a few left! Thank you so much Sir Peter!

Abundance London has created a huge artwork under the railway arches at Turnham Green tube. There is a timeline of historic maps showing the development of Chiswick through the centuries, with works of art depicting local landmarks by some of the amazing artists who live and work in our area.

  1. I loved this mural created by Sir Peter Blake when it appeared in the Telegraph and have been grappling with the names of all the “artistes” it depicted,
is there anywhere I can get names of the 45 faces.
I think it could be a great feature of my Christmas Quiz
    with grateful thanks
