Sir Peter Blake on his Chiswick Empire collage

We had 318 entries to our competition to name all the stars on Sir Peter’s collage. 171  competitors got over 35 correct and went into the draw. Sir Peter Blake drew the winning ticket, which was Paul Beard, a music hall fan from Herefordshire. Congratulations to him! Watch the interview by Chiswick Calendar with Sir Peter.

The Harmonica Gang (numbers 15, 31, 32, 33, 50 and 53) threw most people. We accepted any version of harmonica, including Borrah Minevitch, Jonny Puleo and any variations on that theme.

The most recognisable was number 3, Arthur Askey with 100%.

Second were numbers 4, George Formby and 11, Tommy Cooper on 99%.
