1700: William Knight, Map Containing… 20 Miles Round London

Not much is known about William Knight. He was a printer and publisher rather than a map surveyor, publishing a wide variety of works, including maps.

His address is given “by the sign of the Queen’s head in Snow Hill”, in the Smithfield area of London.
